That distinction matters when counsel asks whether the public file still contains the clear face. It does not. Keep the master if you still need an unredacted archive.

Offline processing for evidence units
After install and license activation, redaction does not require the workstation to send video to videoredaction.io. That is the control evidence supervisors ask for when a clip includes juveniles, victims, or a home interior.
